The Silence of the Bees: A Science Opera was premiered at the opening of the Royal Holloway University of London Science Festival at 4pm on Sunday 17th March 2013 in the Windsor Auditorium, Egham, Surrey.

It was the result of a collaboration with Biologist and Bumblebee expert, Mark Brown and was intended to help raise awareness of the current decline of the bumblebee species.

The cast of 6 singers and an ensemble of 8 players was conducted by John Jansson.
